Coming Fall 2026

What's for dinner?
Zovu knows.

Plan the week, shop once, and cook with someone in your corner. Built by a guy who liked figuring out dinner — just not the hour of scratch paper it took to get there.

Dinner, already figured out

Most apps hand you recipes and wish you luck. Zovu handles the part that actually falls apart on a Tuesday.

The week, decided

Pick the nights you'll really cook. Stuck? Answer three questions and Zovu narrows it down for you.

One list, pantry aware

Your plan becomes a grocery list sorted by aisle, with what's already in your kitchen taken back off it.

Know what dinner costs

Most recipes show what the cart runs and what the plate runs, before you shop. Real prices, rounded honestly.

Jazzy, in the kitchen with you

Sauce broke? Out of an ingredient? Ask. Answers about the recipe in front of you, not generic advice.

Every recipe in Zovu started in my kitchen, not a database. I’m cooking my way through the whole catalogue on camera, one dinner at a time, so you can watch me prove them instead of taking my word for it. Zovu grows the way a recipe box does — I’m adding and fixing constantly, and your notes make every card better than the version before it.

Cooking is the only cheat code

Zovu has a companion, a kitchen crew, and a game running underneath it. Cooking a real meal earns you hearts, and hearts are what you play with. Cook more, play more, and watch your Hearthling grow right alongside your cooking.

No daily check-ins. No paying your way past it. Make dinner, and the rest follows. That is the whole idea.

Who is building this

There I was at work, trying to knock out a grocery pickup order so I could get back to my day. I thought and thought, came up with meals for the next week and a half, and wrote all the recipes down on a piece of scratch paper so I could add the ingredients together into one list.

It took me over an hour. And I still wanted to make it look nice on the whiteboard.

Henry's kitchen whiteboard: two weeks of dinners hand-written in coloured marker, Sunday the 17th through Saturday the 30th, with nights like Italian Chicken Noodle Soup, Penang Chicken Curry, Salmon Poke Bowls and Pesto and Steak, and one night simply marked Leftovers. Below the calendar, the grocery list for all of it in three columns headed Produce, Grains/Noodles and Protein.

When I finished I just sat there thinking: why is this the hard part? I didn't mind figuring out dinner — I actually like that part. All I really wanted was to get to the whiteboard. So I built an app to do the hard part, and I get to keep the easy part.

Zovu isn't finished, and I'd rather show you the real thing than a promise. Every recipe I ship, I cook. Every one you tell me about, I fix.

Join the movement. Take the easy road. Let's have some fun figuring out what's for dinner.
