In Short: Some information — such as your IP address and/or browser and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Services.
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. This does not reveal your specific identity but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, and information about how and when you use our Services. This is needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services and for internal analytics and reporting.
Like many businesses, we also collect information through cookies and similar technologies. The information we collect includes:
In Short: We may collect limited data from public databases, marketing partners, social media platforms, and other outside sources.
In order to enhance our ability to provide relevant marketing, offers, and services to you and update our records, we may obtain information about you from other sources, such as public databases, joint marketing partners, affiliate programs, data providers, social media platforms, and other third parties. This includes mailing addresses, job titles, email addresses, phone numbers, intent data, IP addresses, social media profiles/URLs, and custom profiles, for targeted advertising and event promotion.
If you interact with us on a social media platform using your social media account, we receive personal information about you from such platforms (e.g. name, email address, gender). You may withdraw consent to this processing — see "Withdrawing Your Consent" under What Are Your Privacy Rights? below. Any personal information we collect from your social media account depends on that account's privacy settings; their own use of your information is not governed by this Privacy Notice.
In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also process your information for other purposes only with your prior explicit consent.
We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:
In Short: We only process your personal information when we believe it is necessary and we have a valid legal reason (legal basis) to do so under applicable law — like with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services to enter into or fulfill our contractual obligations, to protect your rights, or to fulfill our legitimate business interests.
If you are located in the EU or UK, under the GDPR and UK GDPR, we may rely on: Consent (you can withdraw at any time); Performance of a Contract; Legitimate Interests (e.g. sending offers/discounts, personalized advertising, analyzing usage to improve/retain users, supporting marketing, diagnosing/preventing fraud, understanding user experience); Legal Obligations; and Vital Interests.
If you are located in Canada, we may process your information with express or implied consent, or in exceptional cases permitted by law (e.g. clearly in an individual's interests, investigations/fraud prevention, business transactions, insurance claims, identifying injured/ill/deceased persons, financial abuse concerns, breach investigations, court orders, work-product information, journalistic/artistic/literary purposes, publicly available information, or de-identified research data subject to ethics oversight).

We have contracts in place designed to safeguard your personal information — they cannot use it beyond our instructions, cannot share it with any other organization apart from us, and must protect/retain it for the period we instruct.
Categories of third parties we may share personal information with:
We may also need to share your personal information in connection with Business Transfers — any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or part of our business to another company.
In Short: We are not responsible for the safety of any information that you share with third parties that we may link to or who advertise on our Services, but are not affiliated with our Services.
The Services may link to third-party websites, services, or applications not affiliated with us. We do not guarantee the safety and privacy of data you provide to third-party websites, and any data collected by third parties is not covered by this Privacy Notice. Review the policies of such third parties directly.
In Short: We may use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect and store your information.
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (web beacons, pixels) to gather information when you interact with our Services. Some help maintain security, prevent crashes, fix bugs, save preferences, and assist basic site functions. We also permit third parties/service providers to use tracking technologies for analytics and advertising, including tailoring ads to your interests or sending abandoned-cart reminders.
To the extent these technologies are deemed a "sale"/"sharing" (including targeted advertising) under applicable US state laws, you can opt out — see Do United States Residents Have Specific Privacy Rights? below. Specifics are set out in our Cookie Policy.
Google Analytics: we may share your information with Google Analytics to track and analyze use of the Services. Opt out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. See Google's privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy.

In Short: If you choose to register or log in to our Services using a social media account, we may have access to certain information about you.
Our Services offer the ability to register/log in using third-party social media account details (e.g. Facebook or X logins). We receive certain profile information from your social media provider — typically name, email address, friends list, and profile picture, plus other information you've made public there. We use this only for purposes described in this Privacy Notice. We are not responsible for other uses of your personal information by your third-party social media provider — review their privacy notice directly.
In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required by law.
We will only keep your personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. No purpose in this notice requires us to keep your personal information longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us. When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will delete or anonymize it, or securely isolate and store it if deletion isn't possible until it becomes possible.
In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.
We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures. However, no electronic transmission or information storage technology can be guaranteed 100% secure, so we cannot promise that unauthorized third parties will never defeat our security. Transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk; you should only access the Services within a secure environment.
In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age or the equivalent age as specified by law in your jurisdiction.
We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or market to children under 18 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction), nor knowingly sell such personal information. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 (or the equivalent age), or that you are the parent/guardian of such a minor and consent to their use of the Services. If we learn we've collected personal information from users under 18, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data. Contact us at henry@zovuapp.com if you become aware of any such data.
In Short: Depending on your state of residence in the US or in some regions (EEA, UK, Switzerland, Canada), you have rights that allow you greater access to and control over your personal information. You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time.
In some regions (EEA, UK, Switzerland, Canada) you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws, which may include the right to: access and obtain a copy of your personal information; request rectification or erasure; restrict processing; data portability (if applicable); and not be subject to automated decision-making (if a decision producing legal or similarly significant effects is made solely by automated means, we will inform you, explain the main factors, and offer a simple way to request human review). You may also have the right to object to processing. Contact us using the details in How Can You Contact Us About This Notice? below. We will consider and act upon any request in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
If you are in the EEA or UK and believe we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you have the right to complain to your Member State data protection authority (ec.europa.eu) or the UK data protection authority (ico.org.uk). If in Switzerland, you may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (edoeb.admin.ch).
If we rely on your consent (express and/or implied, depending on applicable law) to process your personal information, you have the right to withdraw it at any time by contacting us (see below) or updating your preferences. This will not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
You can unsubscribe any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in our emails, or by contacting us. You will be removed from marketing lists but may still receive necessary service-related messages.
If you would like to review or change the information in your account, or terminate your account, log in to your account settings and update your user account. Upon a termination request, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases, though we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist investigations, enforce our legal terms, and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.
Most web browsers accept cookies by default; you can usually set your browser to remove or reject cookies, though this could affect certain features. You may also opt out of interest-based advertising at aboutads.info/choices.
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems/applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature. No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other automatic mechanism that communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard is adopted that we must follow in future, we will inform you in a revised version of this Privacy Notice. California law requires us to disclose our response to DNT signals — because there is not yet an industry or legal standard, we do not respond to them at this time.
