1. What Are Cookies and Browser Storage?
Cookies are small data files a website saves on your device. Browsers also offer similar
storage ("local storage" and "session storage") that a site can use to remember things
between visits or during one visit. This policy covers all of them.
2. What We Use, and Why
Keeping you signed in (essential). Our sign-in provider, Supabase, keeps your session in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in.
Remembering your app settings (essential). The app keeps a few things in local or session storage on your device, such as how many Jazzy messages you have used today and which page of a tab you last viewed.
Product analytics (PostHog). PostHog sets a cookie and a local storage entry on zovuapp.com holding a random ID, so we can count which features are used. While you are signed in, that ID is linked to your account. Automatic click recording and session recording are off.
Error monitoring (Sentry). Sentry uses session storage during a visit so that, when something breaks, its error report (and a replay with all text and images masked) belongs to the right visit.
Payments (Stripe). When you buy Premium, you complete payment on Stripe's own checkout page. Any cookies there are Stripe's, under Stripe's privacy policy.
3. What We Do Not Use
We do not use advertising cookies, we do not serve targeted advertising, and we do not use
tracking pixels or web beacons. We do not track you across other websites. We do not use
Flash cookies.
4. How Can I Control Them?
You can block or delete cookies and site storage in your browser's settings (see your
browser's help pages). Blocking PostHog's cookie does not stop Zovu working. Clearing
sign-in storage signs you out, and clearing app storage resets the settings listed above.
5. How Often Will You Update This Cookie Policy?
We update this Cookie Policy when the cookies or storage we use change. The date at the top
of this page shows when it was last updated.
